Terms and Conditions

General liability

By making an appointment for a massage at Optimus Massage, the client declares that they agree to the following conditions:

1. I give permission to receive a massage treatment at Optimus Massage.
2. I understand that massage is not a substitute for medical treatment, medical diagnostics or prescribed medication.
3. I understand that Optimus Massage does not make medical diagnoses, does not diagnose injuries or conditions, and does not prescribe medication.
4. I am responsible for judging whether a massage treatment is suitable for me, and I will, if necessary, obtain permission or advice from my doctor beforehand.
5. I understand that massage and additional treatment techniques may cause certain temporary reactions or discomfort. Possible reactions include muscle soreness, stiffer or tender muscles, fatigue, mild nausea or dizziness. With cupping, temporary red, purple or blue discolouration of the skin may also occur. These reactions can differ from person to person.
6. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform Optimus Massage fully and in advance about relevant physical complaints, injuries, medical conditions and use of medication.
7. I understand that it is my responsibility to say so immediately during the treatment if I experience pain, discomfort, nausea, dizziness or any other complaint. Optimus Massage can adjust the treatment accordingly or, if necessary, end it.
8. I declare that I provide all information that may matter for a safe treatment truthfully and in full.
9. In the event of cancellation or failure to attend an appointment, the reserved treatment may be charged. If you are unable to attend, we ask you to contact Optimus Massage as early as possible. For the refund of any amount paid in advance, a cancellation period of 48 hours applies.
10. Arriving late can affect the treatment time. If a client is more than 10 minutes late without prior contact, the appointment may be cancelled and the amount due cannot be refunded.
11. Optimus Massage maintains a strict policy on inappropriate behaviour. Any form of sexual advance, inappropriate remark, insinuation, request or other transgressive behaviour during a treatment leads to the immediate termination of the treatment. Optimus Massage reserves the right to refuse future appointments.

Dry needling, cupping and scraping / IASTM

Dry needling, cupping and scraping / IASTM can be part of a treatment at Optimus Massage, depending on the request for help and the practitioner's assessment.

• Dry needling: a technique in which thin needles are used to treat tense muscles and trigger points. This can help reduce muscle tension and pain and improve mobility.
• Cupping: cups are placed on the skin to create a vacuum. This can stimulate local blood flow, help reduce muscle tension and contribute to relaxation and recovery. After cupping, temporary red or purple discolouration or bruising may occur.
• Scraping / IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization): a technique in which special instruments are used over the skin to treat muscles and other soft tissue. This can help reduce tension and stiffness and improve mobility.

The effects of these techniques can differ from person to person and a particular result cannot be guaranteed. Wherever possible, the client is informed in advance about the chosen technique and any possible reactions or discomfort.

12. By making an appointment at Optimus Massage, the client confirms that they have read these conditions and agree to them.
