Which length suits you
If you want a thorough massage of all your muscles and want to relax completely, the 60-minute massage is the best option. It is the most chosen and the recommended treatment at Optimus Massage.
In a 60-minute massage every muscle group is worked loose.
The 30-minute treatment only suits you if you want one muscle group massaged. If you want more areas treated and want to relax completely, you are better off with the 60-minute massage. It is relatively cheaper and more effective.
What the treatment includes
- I bring the massage table, the towels and the oil. You do not need to prepare anything.
- All prices shown include 21% VAT.
- Within Amsterdam there are no travel costs. Outside the city, parking and travel costs are added.
Cupping, dry needling and scraping
Cupping
Optimus Massage offers cupping as well. This treatment can only be combined with a one-hour sports massage.
Dry needling
Dry needling, also known as Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), is a method in which a needle is inserted into a thickened band within a muscle. It can be used to address myofascial pain syndrome, stiffness and pain in your muscles.
Scraping / IASTM
Scraping, in full Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, is a method in which a smooth metal tool is drawn over the muscle instead of the thumb or the knuckle. The tool follows the direction of the fibres and puts the pressure on a narrow edge, so hardened spots and adhesions can be worked on more precisely.

- What should I wear?
- Underwear is enough. You lie under a towel and only the part I am working on at that moment is uncovered.
- How far ahead should I book?
- Usually a few days is enough. Send a message with a couple of times that suit you and we will find one that fits.
- What if I have to cancel?
- If a confirmed appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, we have to charge for it.
- Can I book cupping, dry needling or scraping on its own?
- Cupping can only be combined with a one-hour sports massage. If you would like dry needling or scraping, say so when you make the appointment.
- Do you travel outside Amsterdam?
- Yes. Outside Amsterdam, parking and travel costs are added to the rate for a treatment at your home.
